The annual MSP 501 list serves as a leading benchmark for the technology services industry. Channel Partners evaluates providers using key business metrics. These metrics include revenue growth, recurring revenue, high-margin services, and innovation, including AI service development.
For 18 years, managed service providers worldwide have competed for a place on this respected list. The MSP 501 survey evaluates companies through a quantitative process. The ranking considers annual revenue, EBITDA profitability, and recurring revenue performance.
Industry leaders helped develop the methodology behind the MSP 501 ranking. The process identifies providers that demonstrate financial strength, operational excellence, and long-term business stability.

The Channel Partners research team reviews every qualified MSP 501 applicant. The team evaluates financial performance, recurring revenue commitment, and operational efficiency.

The 2025 MSP 501 list represents one of the most competitive years in the survey’s history. Channel Partners and Channel Futures will recognize winners through their websites and at the MSP Summit awards ceremony. The event takes place September 15–17, 2025, in Orlando, Florida.

This year’s MSP 501 companies average $29.4 million in revenue and $16 million in recurring revenue. Many providers focus their services on customer priorities, including AI, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, collaboration, networking, help desk services, and remote monitoring.

The Channel Partners research and content teams collect and analyze confidential company data for the MSP 501 evaluation. Companies submit their calendar year 2024 financial information or equivalent fiscal data. The research team collected submissions online from February through May 2025.
The MSP 501 ranking recognizes providers based on recurring revenue, profit margin, growth, and other performance indicators. The results help MSPs benchmark their performance and identify opportunities for continued growth.
