TECH GROUP INC. is an IT managed services provider for small to enterprise businesses in Vermont, Maine New Hampshire and Upstate New York. For the small company (2 -100 employees) who does not have any IT staff, we serve as your IT department; managing and supporting your servers, workstations, network and the Internet. For the small company with IT staff or a mid-size business (100 – 1,000 employees), we supplement your existing IT team in a variety of ways. In some cases, we manage part of the IT infrastructure (e.g. backups, Exchange mail, VMware, etc.) while in other cases, we actual as supplemental resources on projects, provide Help Desk Support and vacation coverage.

We have been around since 1992.

TECH GROUP INC. was founded by President and lead technology engineer Steve Loyer and his partners. We started as Computer Services of Vermont and re-formed the company as The TECH GROUP Inc. in 2006. Our sister company, the Tech Vault Inc., was launched in 2010.

Though we are located in South Burlington, VT, we have customers throughout New England as well being able to server customers nationally and internationally. The majority of our business is in and around Burlington and Chittenden County, Vermont.

Our customers include all business verticals. Our largest verticals are government, financial services, healthcare and non- profit organizations including academia. But, we also cover biotech, engineering, manufacturing, legal, accounting, insurance, software development and other industries.

TECH GROUP INC. is all about the “Human side of IT”. We strive to work with our customers in a professional and respectful manner. We understand that customers want solutions and action not an “I told you so or Monday morning quarterback” response. We want to work with you to understand your business and your current technology pain points, from the business owner / executive team down to the front line. In a sense, we can be a key member of your IT team as well as act as a Chief Information Officer first, trying to understand all of the key stakeholders in your company, all the line of business needs and then match the technology solution to meet those needs.

We hear two major themes from our customers. One, a lot of business owners are looking to invest in technology now to help grow and streamline their company. We have seen over the past year companies are looking to upgrade mail and collaboration infrastructure, virtualize their physical servers to consolidate technology and introduce more remote access, wireless access and better Internet and Endpoint security. They understand that business today is on the super highway but that they need to have the Network in place. The second theme has been around enhancing business continuity, around upgrading the backup infrastructure and focusing on disaster recovery. Super storms, cyber-attacks, system crashes can close doors or cost companies millions to restore operations. They look to IT Professionals, such as Tech Group Inc., to help with those plans.

TECH GROUP INC.’s entire business is optimized around managing IT infrastructure for our customers more effectively with less cost than doing everything in house. We maintain a set of professional IT management tools for monitoring and support of the technology. Plus, we have an in house engineering team that stays current with all the new technologies, has a lot of experience under their belt and maintain certifications in all the technologies that we support. Tech Vault Inc., our sister company, also allows us to provide a secure and managed hosted solution in the only Silver Leeds certified, Next Generation Data Center in New England.

TECH GROUP INC. has a lot of engineering and project management expertise, from design to setup and configuration and final implementation. For example, your current IT staff or person may not have migrated an Exchange 2003 to 2010 or implemented VMware virtualization, we have the experience to support and work with you or your staff to help. “Human Side” – we are here to help, support and work with you and your team. We want to be a valued partner that you have confidence in to get the project done right.

We focus around Microsoft Exchange, administration and enhancements. We also provide and support Virtualization with VMware, Citrix specialist, Cisco as well as storage and switching infrastructure and backup technology. We also manage small to very large and complex projects involving design and implementation of Network Infrastructure. (Wireless Networks as well)

We are Cisco, CCNA, MS, VMware, Citrix, SonicWALL, Barracuda certified and work with industry standards DELL, Equallogic, HP,APC, Adtran, I365, Intermedia, Vipre, McAfee, Unitrend, and Symantic as approved partners and certified resellers.
